About Ben Shields
For the past several years, Ben has made his home in the Piedmont of North Carolina. Most of his photographs are shot throughout North Carolina, from the mountains to the coast, but are supplemented with images he has captured in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, Peru, and locations in the southeastern United States. Ben also has a collection of photographs from small town and rural portions of Kansas, where he was born and spent his childhood.
Ben hopes that his photographic work inspires people to slow down and pay attention to both the mundane and the unique, as both can be different for everyone. As a seasoned teacher and instructor of courses in anthropology and women's studies, and as an experienced writing consultant, Ben is equally enthusiastic about assisting people in sharing their knowledge and talents as he is his own.
Ben welcomes comments, questions, assignments, or requests at bshieldsnc@gmail.com, and thanks you for visiting his profile on Fine Art America.
