Mount Kaputyat provided and obstacle to an innumerable variety of clouds during our work on an archaeological site in Nachvak Fiord, Newfoundland-Labrador, Canada during the summer of 2006.

About Ben Shields

Ben Shields

For the past several years, Ben has made his home in the Piedmont of North Carolina. Most of his photographs are shot throughout North Carolina, from the mountains to the coast, but are supplemented with images he has captured in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, Peru, and locations in the southeastern United States. Ben also has a collection of photographs from small town and rural portions of Kansas, where he was born and spent his childhood. Ben hopes that his photographic work inspires people to slow down and pay attention to both the mundane and the unique, as both can be different for everyone.
